Who We Are
Emma's Motoring School (EMS) has had a long tradition in the road safety industry. It was founded in 1996 by Emma Norton as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). Emma added Traffic and Road Safety services creating the acronym (EMSTaRS) as part of the company. To share her extensive knowledge and experience developed during her career managing road safety departments in local government London Borough's and supporting road safety teams UK wide. Developing and delivering road safety education programmes, collision investigation, road safety audits and engineering schemes. Delivering and managing teams to provide motorcycle training, cyclist training, road safety education, training and publicity, school travel plans, sustainable travel awareness, the school crossing patrol service and in-car safety services.
Emma's qualifications:
Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) Grade A
Accident and Safety Management (DipASM) MANCAT,
Collision Investigation and Road Safety Engineering (RoSPA AIP), Road Safety Audit (RoSPA & TMS RSA),
In-car safety (IOSH & TRL),
Driver Awareness Scheme (DAS) Instructor
Safe & Considerate Drivers Scheme (Dorset Police & NDORS),
National Standards Cyclist Instructor (NSI)
City in Guilds Award in Education and Training (AET)
Climbing Instructor - Single Pitch Award (MLTB).
